Which versions of SolidWorks are supported?
SW Gear Generator is compatible with SolidWorks 2020 and later. If you're on an older version, contact us and we'll let you know what's possible.
Does the generated model stay editable in SolidWorks?
Yes. The output is a fully parametric SolidWorks part. You can modify it like any native model — change dimensions, apply features, or use it in assemblies.
What gear standards are supported?
The app supports both metric (module) and imperial (diametral pitch) gear standards. You can also override default addendum and dedendum coefficients for custom profiles.
Can I use this license on multiple computers?
A single license covers one engineer on up to two machines (e.g. desktop + laptop). For teams, we offer volume pricing — reach out for a quote.
